The Women's Legacy Fund of the Montgomery County Community Foundation recently awarded five grants for 2013: Family Crisis Shelter for a fitness and wellness program; Pam's Promise for nutrition training for residents; The Athenas for their after-school program; Montgomery County Youth Service Bureau for a group mentoring program and the Montgomery County Cultural Foundation for a summer art camp.
The Women's Legacy is a group of women who are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of women and children in Montgomery County. Each member makes a gift to the Foundation; one-third of the gift is endowed, which will benefit women and children forever, and the other two-thirds is dedicated for annual grant awards.
