Description:
Established in 2017, the Community Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for Montgomery County students in memory of loved ones and friends.
Criteria:
- Be a graduate in good standing from a Montgomery County high school by the end of June of the year in which the application is filed
- Must have a minimum high school grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Student must demonstrate financial need
- Must have completed a minimum of seven (7) semesters or ten (10) trimesters of high school by the application deadline to be eligible to apply
- 21 st Century scholars are not eligible to apply for this scholarship
Requirements:

- Be prepared to write an essay (300-word maximum) answering the question: "Many students face challenges throughout their academic careers. Describe an obstacle that you have faced while in school, and the steps taken to get through it. How will this experience benefit you as you continue your education?"
