Florence and Lee Servies Scholarship

Requirements: 3.0+ GPA, Southmont graduate pursuing Education Major, Financial need, Indiana college
Description:

Florence and Lee Servies lived all of their married life in southern Montgomery County. Florence taught business for 32 years – primarily at Crawfordsville High School, but also at New Market and Waveland. Lee was a farmer who served his country during World War II. He served on the New Market School Board from 1966-1972. Lee and Florence cared deeply about the young people of our community. In a bequest to benefit the families of the South Montgomery School Corporation, the couple set aside money for a fund to provide educational scholarships. This legacy will affect generations of students from Southmont.

The Florence and Lee Servies Scholarship will be awarded to a Southmont High School senior, in good standing, who plans to pursue a baccalaureate degree in the field of teaching at any accredited Indiana public or private college or university.
