Requirements: Female, Training in Nursing
Description:
The Edith V. Botts Nurses Non-Traditional Training Scholarship is funded from the estate of Edith V. Botts. Ms. Botts desired to provide funds to educate women from Montgomery County to receive nurses training in any duly accredited school.
The Botts Non-Traditional Scholarship will be awarded for one year only and must be applied for each year. Scholarship awards are to be used for tuition only.
Criteria:
- Must be a resident of Montgomery County, Indiana
- Must be a female planning to study nursing - Preference will be given to the applications of nursing students but if funds are available, applications of female students in similar fields will be considered
- Full time, part time, and continuing students are all eligible to apply
Requirements:
- Complete the online Botts Non-Traditional Scholarship application. Check here for updated scholarship application due date and information.
- Applicants will be asked to upload a transcript from their most recent educational institution.
- Be prepared to answer the following essay (300 word maximum) addressing the following: Describe your educational goals for the medical field you are pursuing and how you plan to achieve those goals. You will also be asked to explain the importance of your major (nursing or other medical field) in today's society.
