Our third unrestricted grant cycle for 2016 is now complete and we recently awarded thirteen grants totaling over $206,000! The grants funded various areas of need in our community including art instruction and materials for the consumers at Abilities Services, Inc., support for our local animal shelter, training for our police department's K9 unit, improvements to the Ladoga-Clark Township public library, as well as funding to help purchase mini-vans for the Sunshine Vans, which provide transportation for the elderly and individuals with disabilities.
Gratitude was in full supply as the grant awards were distributed and smiles all around. It is always rewarding to see the charitable dreams of our donors fulfilled by meeting the needs of the worthy nonprofits that serve our community. We are so grateful to all our donors who recognize needs in our community and are willing to help meet those needs through their generosity.
