Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship

Application now open

Tuesday, August 1, 2017

The application for the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship (LECS) is available online as of August 1st. The application is open to current high school students who attend one of the three Montgomery County high schools and reside in Montgomery County. In addition, students applying for the LECS must have a GPA of 3.85 or higher on a 4.0 scale and be ranked in the top 10% of his/her senior class.

The Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program will provide one scholarship for otherwise unreimbursed tuition, required fees, and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and equipment for one Montgomery County student. This scholarship is for four years of undergraduate study on a full-time basis, leading to a baccalaureate degree at any Indiana public or private nonprofit college or university accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

The deadline to apply for this scholarship is Friday, September 8th. Like last year, the LECS application window is significantly earlier. The new timeline for the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship was introduced in the spring of 2016 in order to provide greater benefits to future recipients.

Applications are completed online and can be found here. Each school’s guidance office has information, as well as the MCCF office located at 119 E. Main Street. Please contact Sarah at 362-1267 or sarah@mccf-in.org with any questions.
