2014 Lilly Scholarship Recipient!

3.31.14

Congratulations goes out to Lyndsy Johnson, senior at Crawfordsville High School, who just received the news that she is the winner of the MCCF 2014 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship! As the recipient of this prestigious award, Lyndsy will receive full tuition for four years, along with a $900 yearly stipend for books, etc., at the Indiana college of her choice. The three smiling, very happy people in this photograph are Lyndsy and her parents, Gayle and Kelly Johnson.

Lyndsy was overcome with joy and emotion as Marty Pool, MCCF Scholarship Coordinator, read the letter from Lilly affirming her as the recipient of the scholarship. Lyndsy's current plans are to study elementary education but is as yet undecided where she will attend college. One decision she has made, however, is to return to Montgomery County when she completes her college education. Now that is something we can all smile about! Way to go, Lyndsy!
