Jim & Bev Harpel Basketball Scholarship

Jim and Bev Harpel
Requirements: 3.0+ GPA, Member of girls or boys varsity basketball team in senior year
Description:

The Jim Harpel Basketball Scholarship was established in 2010 in memory of Jim Harpel. Jim played basketball throughout his entire life and had an extraordinary love and passion for the sport. His wish was to create a scholarship in his name to help a Montgomery County basketball player continue on to college and to share in his/her love of the sport. In 2016, Bev passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer and her name was added to the fund. Bev shared the love of basketball with Jim and she previously served on the board of the Montgomery County Basketball Hall of Fame.

The Jim and Bev Harpel Basketball Scholarship Fund will provide a scholarship toward tuition and fees for a student from a public Montgomery County High School who is enrolled and will attend an accredited two-or four-year public or private institution.
